READY FOR SOME R & R?
Whew! The price of a long holiday weekend is a short work week. Five days of work that need to somehow be crammed into four days. Harried at the least and leaving us all ready for a little down time. Maybe even an afternoon “nap”?
Nothing feels better than sneaking in an hour or so on a weekend afternoon to stretch out on our beds for some R & R. Chances are you toss a few decorative pillows on the floor. Some of
us you might have a few too many because we you keep buying ones that just don’t do it for you.
They look good in the catalog, in the store or on your friends sofas. But when you get them home…nope not right! Why does the perfect group of pillows elude you?
IT’S FRIDAY AND TIME FOR SOME FUN FAVORITES!
How about today we look at a different approach to selecting pillows. Instead of buying the pillows we think we should have….let’s buy the pillows we want. Let’s have as much fun planning, buying and enjoying pillows as we do a favorite outfit!
Here are some fun outfits and the pillows I could easily use in our home!
Thanks, Jules, for the Inspiration!
When Kristen suggested this approach for our Friday Favorite post, I thought what a snap this would be and I’d breeze thru this. The after
40’s, now 50’s and beyond, bloggers I follow always look so put together. However, when I started looking at their photos with pillows in mind, I ended up spending more time than I thought. This was fun! They are fun! And now my pillows will be oh so savvy!
Sidenote: We have supplied the links to find each of these beauties. Read the links info carefully. Some of the above are pillow covers and need inserts. Years ago I learned to buy pillow covers vs entire pillows all the time. This way the covers can be stored easily in a drawer. I can change them often, mix and match the patterns and do not have extra pillows stuffed in every closet. No one likes chubby things hanging around in their closets!
Check out each of the fashionista’s sites by the links under the photos above. They are all inspirations to us and keep us from looking, well, like the plumber. (we love you guys but not the dirt) Design is not always pretty!
Also, thanks to everyone who struggled through the midweek cyber gremlins that played some kind of ping pong with our site. We appreciate everyone who alerted us to the problems and those who hyperventilated with us as we panicked over not getting our weekly fix of LBD!
If you are new to our site, please join us and you will be among the first to know when we are having a technical meltdown. It’s so much easier with friends!
