At first glance we see a colorful space for kids to be kids. With a closer look, we see all the ways these little ones have to keeps toys in order.
Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Design!
- a colorful contemporary playroom created in traditional architecture
- get comfy in the floor lounge chair topped with blue fun accent pillows
- plaster archway, cove moldings, window headers and wow…the window pane!
- easy to care gray carpet tiles in geometric patterns
- fun basket storage for a host of other play buddies
- loads of natural light coming through the windows
- white and molded plastic blue chairs pair with a modern style table for coloring, activities and perhaps a quick snack
- Large, soft floor cushions for Gram and Gramp to join in the fun…ah, yes this could be in a grandparents home!
- built in shelves display the children toys while keeping the floor clear to play
- snowy white walls take the second seat to this fabulous graphic geometric accent wall with every childs favorite crayon colors featured
- closed drawer storage with dark bronze pulls, ready to fill with all kinds of activities
- the familiar sesame streets Kermit, perched on a clear acrylic table, watching over the little ones as they play
- simple natural woven roman shade blocks an afternoon glare
- the location so handy next to the grown ups spot to put our feet up
- Max, the family dog, hiding behind the chair because he just ate the leg off a roaming dinosaur

No doubt you can do it and if you need a little virtual design help you know who to call! We helped another fashion blogger turn her dining room into her fashion office and suggested a creative way to repurpose plate racks.
Function, beauty, and fun! Love it!!
Ah yes…function first…always is a winning design! Like so many of your designs.
Thank you so much friend!😊
You’d think since we live so close, we could find time to be outside of blog world. Soon!
I love it that they incorporated the many colors of toys into the decor. Ingenious, really! So often it’s our “everyday things” that get in the way or mess up the color scheme we’ve so carefully chosen for a room. Why not let those everyday things set the color scheme instead? Perfect!
Exactly…working with what we have makes for good design!
