A Young Interior Designer’s Shares Office With Hubs- Before and After 7.4.18

Real Estate Agents and Interior Designers are always thrilled when a house has “good bones”.  As a designer, working for our clients, I can walk into a room and immediately see the potential others may not see.  This is exactly how Mr. LBD Jr. and I felt the minute we saw our home.  One of our first exciting projects was blending our styles for a shared office.

Creating A Shared Office Space

The previous owner had also used this space for an office.  How she had used the space and our needs were vastly different.  To say we had slightly different ideas of what should be in our new shared space was a tiny under statement!

Wednesday “Wow”!

Medium Dress 2

Oh yeah, one more small wrinkle, this room also needed to be a dressing area for yours truly.  Mr. LBD Jr. is the happy occupant of the adorable walk-in closet in the master bedroom.

Sharing An Office…Happy Ever After!

A small, multi use space will always appear larger with lighter walls anchored by a darker base.  The floors in our home are beautiful warm woods.  Painting the walls and trim moldings the same shade of white, gave us the perfect pallet to mix our styles.  We added some vintage funk with the original painted dining room fixture!

Cool Office and Cooler Dressing Area!

He Said – She Said “Let’s Share An Office!”

Mr. LBD Jr. is a computer guy and prefers a desk.  I’m happy working at a table.  He’s a file cabinet guy and I save all our design projects digitally.  He likes my perfume and I think the signed footballs are cool.  Mission accomplished!
