We Spy With Our Designer Eye
Each Sunday we’ll share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor. Designs that are a little different from the norm, like this one shared by dream-decor. At first glance we see a striking entry to this home. With a closer look we see all the details that make this home’s entrance so welcoming!
Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Interior Design!
- of course I like the black and white concept of this entry
- next, the color combination of the perfect shade of dark blue mixed with our beloved B&W
- oohlala…the repeating circle pattern in the glass fretwork
- the arched transom, chunky moldings on the creamy stucco walls
- instant no trip, Welcome “area rug” pattern in the tile walkway
- simple, glossy black square pots are home to a pair of perfectly proportioned topiary
- brass is back, baby and with a “B” (which is one of our favorite letters)
- a pair of lanterns, not too big but just the right size
- the mail slot just waiting for a special hand written note
- nice reflection of the classic tile pattern in the brass door kick plate
- ring the bell…it might even be a turn crank one!
- can’t see the door handle – that might be the point of this classic design
- all this perfect LBD (little black door) is missing is a big fat rusty tabby cat waiting for his owners to get home and let him in!

Thinking about your home’s interior design?
That’s such a welcoming set-up, Laurel – you just want to go straight into the door, under that lovely archway and the tiles are a beautiful alternative to a more mundane mat, Lxx
Wouldn’t we love to see inside too!
This is the only thing I miss about living in a townhouse…we have no control over our front door. But you can be sure that I decorated the porch….
XOXO

We have same situation here. Thankfully there is so much we can do with potted plants!
