We Spy With Our Designer Eye
Each Sunday we’ll share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor. Designs that are a little different from the norm, like this one shared by Haven Design and Construction. At first glance we see this stunning kitchen. With a closer look we see detail after detail that make us want to be in this space!
Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Interior Design!
- subtle height differences in the dual purpose island
- midnight and morning mix of colors with the transitional raised panel cabinets
- lighting that makes a statement yet does not interfere with the architecture
- on my…..the window series
- both black and brass oversized cabinet pulls
- balance is created between the appropriately sized range hood and the paneled refrigerator bank
- marble backsplash with a conventional subway pattern until we get to the range and enjoy a basket weave inset pattern
- pine washed, wide plank wood flooring juxtaposed with dressy brass and white counter stools
- hidden under island storage
- just the right detail on the island legs
- cabinet lines dropped from ceiling ever so slightly are perfect with the window design
- cabinet panels on the appliances let the large, slide in range be a feature
- ah, the black door, inset china like cabinets are like a perfect date night eyeliner!
- ample, multiple work spaces and a sous chef sink to boot
- the retired executive making eggs benedict for his still working wife on a lazy Sunday morning
- an Irish setter patiently waiting for a little of the fare
