CWBArchitects-Wet-Bar- Gray-Cabinets-BlackandWhite-Flooring

We Spy With Our Designer Eye

Each Sunday we’ll share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor.  Designs that are a little different from the norm, like this one shared by CWB Architects.  At first glance we see a wet bar tucked back in a special spot.  Looking closer, we see all the details that make us want to explore more!

Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Interior Design!

Medium Dress 2

  • subtle, yet striking, slate blue, fully inset bar cabinets
  • the vent under the far right base cabinet lets us know this a refrigerator or ice maker
  • the cone shaped pendant light with a rich black pleated shade
  • black and white, polished marble checkerboard square flooring
  • dual control, brass faucet and cabinetry hardware-don’t miss the flush plates on the upper cabinets
  • speaking of the upper glass cabinet doors, they slide as they store all kinds of glassware
  • beautiful mirrored backsplash reflects a muted wall in the other room
  • liquor sits on the creamy white counter, with glass ice bucket, ready to make your favorite drink
  • brass and black bar tools and a white orchid gleam in the mid afternoon sunlight
  • loving the large, decorative molding around the entry to the bar area
  • a glimpse of a cozy living room with built in bookshelves
  • what a delightfully unexpected color sofa on the beautiful patterned, inlay hardwood floors
  • a young professional, with high heels kicked off, winding down with the last few emails of the week
  • the scrappy little rescue dog, named Ted, doing his happy dance she’s home!

Did you figure out what a staircase and swimming pool have in common in Wednesday’s Post?

  1. I love that you see kitchen cabinets in such a variety of colors. Although it made me laugh to see this slate blue. When we painted out cabinets …the first paint of grey looked blue. So we started over and went with white. Not that blue is bad, but that’s not what would have looked good in our environment…LOL!!

    1. Every home has a color palette based on the structure and lighting. Add in our own personality and there are so many options to create the Perfect LBD!

  2. Beautiful, Laurel. It reminds me of a modern version of a Dutch interior – peeping into a room, framed beautifully, filled with light and a chequerboard floor! Lxx
