We Spy With Our Designer Eye

Each Sunday we’ll share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor.  Designs that are a little different from the norm, like this one shared by House Beautiful.  At first glance we see a welcoming dining spot.  With a closer look, we see that this transitional decor and architecture can be right at home in many parts of the country.

Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Interior Design!

Medium Dress 1

  • nothing like the colors of blue and white in any decor…always right!
  • the perfect mix of a stained wood table with woven pale chairs
  • let’s throw in a mirror ball and brass chandelier to add a traditional element
  • washed wood beams offset the rich stain of the entry door finish
  • ooooh the arch and deep-set, to the floor windows all in the purest of white
  • large, simple glass hurricanes grace the table and compliment the white flowers and topiary
  • the intrigue of a medium wood finished cabinet with the simple black pendant…where does this lead?
  • talk about the perfect table setting with all the english willow ware like china
  • don’t miss the sea urchin!
  • loving the casual two-tone blue striped rug
  • the ladies lunch group, passing on going out to linger a little longer than usual this week

    1. Agree…secretly I wish bar stools and islands were less of a feature in our homes. Nothing like gathering around a table to dine together!
