We Spy With Our Designer Eye

Each Sunday we’ll share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor.  Designs that are a little different from the norm, like this one shared by French Country Cottage.  At first glance we see a cozy outdoor setting to enjoy the holiday season.  With a closer look, we can almost smell the cracking fire!

Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Exterior/Interior Design!

Medium Dress 2

  • a more than crisp afternoon just before dusk
  • the outdoor lights on a Christmas tree still surrounded by a few late apple
  • stay toasty with a crackling fire pit
  • the summer wicker love seat and side chair made seasonal with extra soft pillows
  • lanterns adding more ambient candle light
  • chunky knitted cream throw to wrap up in
  • strings of hanging lights adding more ambiance
  • christmas music playing in the background while roasting smores
  • fall leaves crinkle under the first cover of a light morning frost
  • children curled up telling mommy and daddy what they want from Santa
  • a couple drinking hot cocoa, or apple cider, from copper mugs

  1. Loved the pictures, the humor, and the opportunity to see beautiful places (and new ideas) I’d never seen before. Like Finland and Lapland. I’ve seen Amsterdam, but never in winter. What fun on a Sunday morning!
