The Sunday Spy 12.2.18
We Spy With Our Designer Eye
Each Sunday we’ll share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor. Designs that are a little different from the norm, like this one shared by kb3cubed. At first glance we see a moody, yet inviting fireplace setting. With a closer look, we notice all the fine details that make this design so impactful…especially at holiday time!
Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Interior Design!
- tribal framed mirror, with applied seasonal wreath, layered over existing large canvas art
- coal black firebox, with the most minute metal brads, makes an impactful statement in simplicity
- stacked, multiple sized logs rest behind the glow of five white glowing candles….perhaps with a spicy seasonal scent
- all white covered books stacked on the cocktail table make a riser to elevate a brass tray holding a feather in a sparkling glass jar
- a strand of brass beads lay effortlessly in another creamy white dish atop the table
- soft weathered wood planks frame the fireplace wall, stopping just short of the ceiling with a dusty black ribbon accent
- more seasonal greenery wrapped about some reindeer antlers, perch perfectly on the mantle shelf
- brown paper packages wrapped up with twine…..
- did you notice the wine goblets waiting for action on the fireplace?
- oh…the tree!
- gotta be arron neville and his brothers singing in the background
- a gal in black leggings and alpaca socked feet propped up on the cocktail table finishing up some online shopping
- her guy next to her, an amber colored bourbon with one big cube in hand, thanking his lucky stars they’ve made this home together
