We Spy With Our Designer Eye
Each Sunday we’ll share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor. A design that caught our eye and made us stop and enjoy, like this one shared by amanda barnes and photographer alyssa rosenheck. At first glance we see the vibrant pink peonies! With a closer look, we see all the well planned details that make this bathroom’s interior design flawless.
Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Interior Design!
- small chevron marble tiles are the backdrop for this wonderful Persian rug
- snowy white walls with just a hint of a tint for the color of the base trim
- aged gold ornate cabinet hardware, a nice contrast to the soft gray modern style vanity cabinets
- worn barn wood walls used “just enough”
- clean, crisp chrome taps and frames on the dual vanity mirrors
- bling, bling over the tub
- ah…the tub, edges so smooth they almost disappear
- dove-gray, yes not white, plantation shutters…why not?
- yes! messy towels instead of expected folded linens on a wall mounted warmer
- a hidden shower we are sure is just as inviting as the rest of this bath
- added texture with the large woven basket mixes perfectly with the sleek brass counter vases
- the morning talk show and a cup of coffee before heading out the door on a work day and already thinking about the night-time soak

I have to tell you I adore that treatment on the wall with the mirrors. That’s basically what we did in our entry way and above our kitchen cabinets.
I have been loving the rugs in your photos lately. I always think of one in front of the sink, but right in the middle is so lovely!

Yes one in the center is balanced. Try it!
Another beautiful relaxing space – the barn wood walls are so unusual but work so well, Lxx
Juxtaposition 101!
This is a serene and beautiful bathroom!
Serene…we should have used that adjective as well!
This is incredible!!
We agree…such talent from both designer and photographer!
