The Sunday Spy 2.4.19
We Spy With Our Designer Eye
Each Sunday we’ll share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor. A design that caught our eye and made us stop and enjoy, like this one shared by norm architects. At first glance we are intrigued by these mirrors…what are they made of? With a closer look, we appreciate all the details that make this bathroom so very unique!
Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Interior Design!
- inset soaking tub just the right depth
- repurposed container as a small side table
- antiqued copper mirrors to the ceiling
- exposed white washed ceiling beams to peer at during a soak
- burnished brass wall mount hand held shower
- rich stained concrete floor, tub deck and surround, almost the color of coffee grounds
- simple surface mounted spot lamps mingle amongst the beams
- hints of a wall mounted basin faucet reflect in the smokey mirror
- vintage door hardware on a three panel door
- a brass bowl with a dark fragrant bar of soap ever ready
- wonder who is in the small framed portrait…a previous owner of this inviting bath
- a mother and her young daughter, picking herbs and wildflowers in grandma’s garden, dreaming of the bedtime routine in this special place
- the old yellow lab waiting to “help” with any water droplets that splash to the floor

Good morning! This is a beautiful bath. I love the smokey mirror and this stunning yet simple tub.
Simply elegant!
Now that’s such a cool mirror to have in the bathroom. And I always love how your creativity includes the people living in that space!

Ah so observant…our firm always envisions our clients living in a space before we start with any of the planning. After all, our homes should be for us first and always.
Love this simplistic and classy look. The mirror is awesome!
Yes that mirror is killer!
Gorgeous post, Laurel. You’re always so good at filling in the details – thanks for letting us know that the mirror is copper, I would never have guessed – so unusual! Lxx
So many choices for our homes…just like our wardrobes like yours today about wearing dresses in winter!
Beautiful – it looks so up-to-date, yet elegant.
It is one of those designs that could be brand new or decades old done right!
