We Spy With Our Designer Eye
Each Sunday we share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor. A design that caught our eye and made us stop and enjoy, like this one shared by luxe.com. At first glance we are taken back with the bold statements in this large dining room. With a closer look, we can truly appreciate all the complimentary patterns that make up this interesting interior design.
Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Interior Design!
- adding bold, patterned visual interest is a black and white zigzag rug centered in the room
- white, freeform, buffet table lamps, with high gloss black lamp shades, work beautifully with the rug
- large rectangular buffet lays out food during gatherings
- 6 curved, wood back dining chairs, with tapered legs and ivory leather upholstery, offer comfortable places for guest to sit
- to add a linear element, a modern long glass dining room table with simple metal legs
- a vintage, crystal hanging chandelier centered over the long dining room table, is very dimensional
- a high gloss white, floating credenza cabinet, offers storage for all our beautiful tableware and keepsakes
- the greek key, small patterned wallpaper is very subtle in this bold decor
- round, mustard yellow serving bowl flanked by a pair of turned pillar antique silver candlesticks, is the perfect way to draw our eye to the colorful art
- the pop art, even tho framed square, gives us the impression of multiple geometrics
- don’t overlook the hint of brass in the room
- wonder what is behind the tall vertical etched glass doors?
- mooooooh….love it!
- the entertaining couple, stealing just a few more minutes at the retro resale shop before heading home to host another unforgettable evening with friends
- has to be classic jazz tonight

Very interesting room. Lots of color 💗
A nice example of how personal taste and good interior design theory all works!
This is right up my alley with all that wonderful color. And that chandelier….if only our place was bigger…LOL!!

Use a chandelier pendant….they can work in so many places!
Fabulous room, Laurel – there are so many striking, statement pieces yet it still gives an air of space and tranquility – what a brilliant blend, Lxx
Agree, Kristen did spy a good one this week!
