We Spy With Our Designer Eye
Each Sunday we share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor. A design that caught our eye and made us stop and enjoy, like this one shared by domainehome. At first glance we see an attractive, welcoming entry. With a closer look, we appreciate all the wonderful details that truly reflect the owners personality.
Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Interior’s Design!
- we have to start with the high end design flooring which is so simple to create if we only have the courage to paint wood!
- adjoining wood flooring remains natural and topped with colorful vintage rugs
- painted walls and moldings seamlessly blend together with the same brillant white color
- built-in bookcases lined with reverse spine and stacked books add to the welcoming decor
- comfy, upholstered furniture make this entry a place we want to linger
- printed fabric ottoman and pillows add to the ambiance and overall mood of the space
- art work is perfectly at home hung on the bookcase rails
- a blue and white collection of ceramic ware is refreshing with seasonal greenery
- the adorned loveseat with nail studs perched on small castered legs
- natural zebra hide creates a foundation for the dark wood, large table
- speaking of the entry table, look at all the ornate detail both on the top and the base
- door transom windows peeking from the hallways
- oh how we wish we could see more of the detail in the alcove with the drawer chest and the fabulous lattice pattern lamp
- small recessed lights graciously take second seat to the iron and glass bowl chandelier…no doubt looks amazing at night!
- a big yellow lab, just shooed away from his normal spot at the tables edge, waiting patiently for the photo shoot to finish up

Any surface can wear, painted floors are no different. However, preparing the floor properly and using the right products can result in years of enjoyment.
Gorgeous picture! And those books are so inviting – you could picture just picking one at random and sinking into a chair for a blissful afternoon’s reading! Lxx
Oh that sounds so charming!
