A Water Fall With A View

We Spy With Our Designer Eye

Each  Sunday  we share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor.  A design that caught our eye and made us stop and enjoy, like this one shared by mydomaine.  At first we are taken with this glorious waterfall counter top. Pausing to look a bit closer, we do a double take enjoying all the wonderful details in this grand California desert home.

Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Interior Design!

  • indoor/outdoor …where do the two begin and end?!
  • electronic windows, opening all the way up, making the outdoor dining and kitchen space feel as one
  • spectacular views of the golf course
  • clean lines of a modern kitchen compliments nature
  • fresh feel yet sophisticated and inviting
  • mix of white walls with the dark steel of the contrasting windows
  • kitchen hood and island with beautiful waterfall edge, all in the same smooth marble
  • neigh…, colorful, a bit unexpected horse art!
  • 24” x 24” stone flooring ever forgiving for indoor/outdoor traffic
  • light wood grain, perhaps laminate cabinets subtly blend with the colors of the mountain view
  • the lack of moldings is refreshing
  • outdoor ceiling supports mimic the black door frames, almost like eyeliner
  • undermounted sink with shiny faucets ready to assist with the cooking and clean up
  • a large range that somehow looks petite in this space
  • the young professional couple enjoying a relaxing Sunday with NOTHING on the agenda
  • music…maybe none for a bit!

  1. Gosh, I love that kind of island. My friend has one and I’m so coveting it!!

    1. Do you know what I do when I get kitchen envy…hunt for one on Airbnb and take a cooking trip! Think of all you could do with your knowledge and passion inspired by a kitchen like this. But we both know, ultimatley there is no place like home.
