Good Things Come In Small “Packages”
We Spy With Our Designer Eye
Each Sunday we share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor. A design that makes us stop and enjoy, like this one shared by dwell/phototashmccammon. At first glance we see this adorable small house. With a closer look, we take in all the well planned details that make this home one we can’t wait to explore!
Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Interior’s Design!
- let’s change up this week and appreciate an exterior instead of the interior…after all it’s a home’s curb appeal that draws us in first!
- simple, box-like structure with just the right white stucco facade
- arched door, and window, with a hint of black, almost like an eye-liner
- elephant gray, random cut field stone walkway with irregular sized snowy white mortar
- aged planks on the wood door leading to another arched glass window
- throw open the sashes to this perfectly scaled large window
- large, creamy stepping stones amid natural cocoa bark mulch
- sprigs of greenery grace the shaded garden
- oh how we wish we could come back at night and see the what other landscape lighting accompanies the small fixture over the door
- a dark painted fence to the left and an equally colorful brick boundary to the right
- one of hundreds of palm variety claims this yard it’s own
- one solitary vine on the masonry wall
- door ajar and jazzy tunes, welcoming any neighbors stopping by for the standing Sunday brunch invitation
- a calico cat lazing in the dappled sun, knowing there is absolutely no need to escape this paradise
