We’re Impressed!

As designers, we love to share when we see something that makes an impact on us. We also admit, impressing us takes a lot! Join us today to see this $200 bathroom makeover.
Two Things That “Really” Impress Us In This $200 Bathroom Makeover
1-Sanded Oak Cabinets
2-Painted Vinyl Flooring
Oh if we had a nickle for every oak cabinet we have sent to Habitat or the landfills. Never again. Look how amazing these cabinets look! Look close, or you will miss the exposed hinges, cultured marble, integrated vanity sink with the most basic chrome, plastic disc faucet on the market. All we see is a custom cabinet finish with the universal choice of black hardware.
Next, we do declare! This DIYer painted her ugly, yellowed, vinyl floor! Simply wow!
Learn More About This Bathroom Cynthia Harper Living
Yes, changing a plumbing fixture can certainly update any bath…but who wants to suffer thru a mate doing the switch out (before calling in the expensive plumber!) for a quick bath update? Here are a few of our go to bathroom update suggestions everyone can do in a very short time!
Wait – I Already Painted My Oak Cabinets!
Yes, we know, you thought the only way to update oak cabinets was to paint them “white”. It’s okay. A black and white bath decor is timeless and these tips work just as well with those painted cabinets.
New Towels Update A Bath
Rethink the standard fluffy terry towels. Add in some turkish towels that double as beach wraps and picnic blankets…all drying quickly and taking up so much less room in the linen closet.
Cabinet Hardware Quick Bath Update
A black matte finish works on so many cabinet finishes. Be sure to check the center of the drillings and get the right size. Got a table knife…you can change most hardware in minutes!
Inexpensive Area Rugs – Fun Ways To Makeover A Bath Quickly
Area rugs in a bath are a way to add in our own personalities. Buy cheap ones and toss them when all that happens in a bath starts to get grungy. Life is too busy to fuss about this.
Bath Accessories
Just as in the update above, Cynthia used some woven accessories to soften the decor. We always suggest that decor items also have a purpose. Like a tray that can hold products we use everyday. White washed rattans are universal and work well in most of our decor.
Shower Curtains Offer Quick Bath Makeovers
Some like a glass tub enclosure, but others love the flexibility of a shower curtain. Easy to change out often to keep fresh and another great way to reflect our personal style. Looking for a spa like bath? Try a waffle weave in a crisp white with easy roll rings. Fling it back and get the bubbles ready for a soothing soak!
No Bath Window, No Problem In A Makeover
Of course live plants always look nice in a bath. But what if the bathroom does not have good natural light, or we simply do not want to be responsibile for plant care? How about creating a gallery with botanical art?
Bon Weekend!
Wishing all our readers a wonderful weekend. Perhaps a weekend project is in your future?
Very nice. Love the new colors! 👀🍃
That is part of what caught our eye…the contrast of the floor and cabinet is so attractive.
Dang, that looks amazing!! Of course I’m checking out all the decor since we are trying to get our new place to look like us!!
I have a quick question. Is there a reason there isn’t hardware on the side cabinets?? I would have only thought to put them there too. But maybe it’s a new trend??
XOXO

PS…I have a suggestion for future posts…..front and back patios. I’m all about it now!!!
Good eye…since this is not our project hard to say. Could be a choice, could be hardware is not available yet. I will say that this is a great way to make a cabinet look larger. If you notice, there was no hardware at all in the before photos, and these kinds of doors are easy to open without hardware. I’m going with it was a savvy design decision!
That’s an incredible make over! The new design is the exact sort of thing I’d go for myself x
We agree and why we wanted to share this gal’s talent!
