We Spy With Our Designer Eye

Each Sunday we’ll share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor.  Designs that are a little different from the norm, like this one shared by Nicole Davis Interiors.  At first glance we see the simple use of black and white in this interior design.  With a closer look we see how special this small corner is!

Ooooh…Here’s What I Love About This Interior Design!

Medium Dress 2

  • simple, chic breakfast nook
  • family photos framed in various size black frames, the perfect way to use art that is meaningful!
  • black and white photos arranged from floor to ceiling, create dimension and add interest to such a small area
  • contemporary hanging light fixture makes such a statement without being overwhelming
  • crisp white walls contrast with a concrete color floor to make the space look larger
  • warm, distressed wood table in a transitional design
  • the ceiling header, so discrete in the design, lends us to think this charming space has been captured from a previous underutilized space
  • a brass bowl filled with decks of cards to play favorite card games
  • easy maintenance modern style chairs a nice addition to the black and white design
  • Sunday morning mimosas on the nearby counter
  • Mom with her iPad scrolling for the next photo to make the cut for the gallery
  • grandparents and grandchildren, perched on the chairs, sharing the memories of each picture

  1. I just adore a wall like this. I may have to somehow do that in our office or second guest room. That’s kinda where we are going to put the family photos.
