We Spy With Our Designer Eye 8.16.20
Sunday Strolling
Each Sunday we share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor. A design that caught our eye and made us stop and enjoy, like this one shared by photographer Anders Bergstedt. Sometimes a design that draws us in with such soothing simplicity, is also a design with the most well thought out elements. Join us today as “We Spy With Our Designer Eye”!
Ooooh…Here’s What We Love About This Interior Design!
- sandy colored wood floors with loads of character and ready to take on what life has to offer
- tall, double-compartment storage discretely is ever ready
- a mixture of airy plants and arrangements, add soft green hues to the neutral palette
- a classic, white tulip table boasts an oatmeal linen cloth; we can almost feel the softness from years of use
- loving the black accents of these modern, universal design chairs (complete with leg caps for added floor protection)
- statement lighting in the most subtle of ways
- a textural, fabric roman shade ready to make the space private, or perhaps dilute the meal time sun
- don’t miss the barely-there, tabletop candle…what a nice way to add atmosphere in an instant
- need to leave a message, or start a grocery list…the chalkboard is right at home as one of the accent features
- continuing with the accent features, what a wonderful deep window ledge in another dark, contrasting, stone
- stoneware in both terracotta and ivory will always be welcome in this decor as they patina to perfection
- snow white walls, trims, ceilings, radiator, and cabinet hardware all create a peaceful backdrop in this cozy, yet spacious feeling space
- we suspect the owners of this lovely home have a slinky cat that finds a napping spot at the window!

That lighting fixture is so original and cool…I’m glad you pointed it out, because I didn’t notice it at first.

That’s when all the design elements work…when none steal the scene!
I like the neutrals, accented by light. 🌟✨💫
Nice backdrop for food!
I agree. 👏
