Sunday Strolling

Each Sunday we share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor. A design that caught our eye and made us stop and enjoy, like this one shared by amberinteriors. Second only to the curb appeal that draws us into a house, is the welcome invitation of the entry that draws us right in! Join us today as “We Spy With Our Designer Eye”!
Ooooh…Here’s What We Love About This Interior Design!
- wonderful mix of transitional architecture with mid century and traditional furnishings
- leather straps give the illusion of supporting a pair of bronzed mirrors
- simple mission style wall panels blend the crown and base moldings seamlessly
- honey, wide plank wood floors are both crisp and warm
- loads of storage is only a small perk to this amazing two-toned wood credenza…don’t miss the elegant, mirrored brass legs and interesting drawer pulls
- an all-season, low maintenance snake plant adds a balance of greenery with the branch cuttings on the credenza
- and the rug…it could be new or a well worn vintage heirloom…either just right to welcome friends and family alike
- a schoolhouse style brass and glass ceiling light fixture must glow at night
- back to the architecture, the sidelight and transom windows complement each other so well, and the natural light so grand
- additional ceiling fixtures with a recessed pin light, possibly a pair, ready to dim down to a soft glow
- earthen vases and a wood bowl are unexpected, more rustic elements and so very welcome
- the reflection in the mirrors let us see the duplication of the nicely aligned, with the wall panel sections, side windows of the door
- ah the door…no need for anything elaborate…this design is complete
- who might live in this home? a young family doing their best to keep the stroller out of the entry
Enjoy The Week!

Thinking about your home’s interior design?

Those leather straps are SO cool. That gives me so many cool ideas.

Can only wait to see how you’ll incorporate the idea somewhere!
This is such an inviting entry. I love the walls, the floor and all of the rest. At first it seemed a little cold to me but once I stopped and took it all in I loved it.
Ah..what’s that saying..it’s not what we look at..it’s what we see. Taking a few minutes each week like this always gives us joy. Happy Sunday!
I like mixing black with wood tones. 🍁🍂🌾
Yes, the classic black and tans! Foamy dark beers and Rottweilers!
Indeed! 🤣🍂
