Nothing Like A Farmer’s Market

Therapy We Can Eat

Fall is in the air in many parts of our country and the harvest is in full swing. Is it just me, or does all the produce look even more appealing this year? Aren’t we all ready for a little therapy we can eat!

There Is More Than Produce At A Farmer’s Market

Flowers Flowers Flowers

Flowers just make the world a better place. Mr. LBD was stationed in southern France for several years. However, I am pretty sure the streets lined with flower shoppes, and the weekly floral market stalls, were not where he frequently visited. I, on the other hand, can walk amongst buckets of flowers for hours and photograph them before choosing what will grace our home. Our editor sent these shots of the Eastern Market in Detroit this weekend. Just looking at all the products of nature, and chatting with the entrepreneurs who are the guardians, is pretty cheap therapy!

As a designer, I am inspired by these veggie boxes and these nubby yellow squash. “It’s not what we look at, but what we see”.

Markets Give Us Confidence

The journey to, and thru, a market is more than an event. For many of us, the therapy comes in the form of an adventure. Even in our familiar local markets, we don’t have to look far to see something new. As we inquire with the vendor, are we not already envisioning ourselves learning to master the unknown?

We Are Never Too Old To Enjoy The Market

As a kid, my Dad always said there was no better judge of people than a dog. Think that goes double for dogs who know a good market when they see one.

Let’s all get out and support our small businesses…we are equally therapeutic for them!

Now you can share LBD via text!
