We Spy With Our Designer Eye

Each  Sunday  we share a design that caught our eye and we took some time to savor.  A design that caught our eye and made us stop and enjoy, like this one shared by jillsharpstudio.  Today lets savor this bedroom that is oh so full of character!  So many textural elements we can almost feel!

Ooooh…Here’s What We Love About This Interior Design!

Jill Sharp Weeks
  • wow…first off this is not our grandmothers old fashioned gingham!
  • tufted snowy white headboard and smooth fabric footboard
  • wood, wood, wood and every piece of burl brings years of character into this design
  • textured wall treatmemt behind the headboard and playing so nicely with the cloudy wall detail
  • doesn’t the blanket drapped over the headboard remind us of a classic stable pattern?
  • and way to add to the black and tan vibe of the design
  • no matching nightstands here! a potted plant rests on one and a pair of glasses on the other
  • wonder what is in the case to the left..backgammon maybe?
  • just the right amount, and size of bed pillows again repeating the black and white color palette
  • oh, almost missed the sweet little framed art perched on the headboard
  • plaster, architectural beams with iron down lights peeking about
  • a smooth, wide plank, natural honey like finished wood floor
  • all these lights, compliment the center fixure of more washed wood and iron
  • love the dimensional shade on the chalky modern lamps..and really like the softness they add to the space being different heights on the night tables
  • books and magazines all over the place just waiting to have us curl up with
  • fuzzy bedside rug ready as we hop in or out of bed
  • a few well loved accessories, and a bold plate full of artictic jewerly rest on this lovely large table
  • breaking tradition of a bench at the end of the bed, look at the series of tree trunk stools
  • an never remember the name of these flowers but shows that a little greenery in every design just finishes off the decor
  • could there be a large window, cracked just enough to let in a gentle breeze and maybe the faint sounds of an early morning weekend
  • bet for sure there is a resident cat waiting for the photo shoot to end to settle back into his regular napping spot

Bon Weekend!

    1. Life is not flat…design that wants us to reach out and touch it reaches its goal every time.
