Working from two cities, and with clients from all over the country, Kristen and I don’t physically see each other everyday.  In fact, we work remotely and virtually more often than not.  We have developed a system that works so well for us and, more importantly, our clients.  Our design business is an ongoing circle of exploring new opportunities, planning future projects, implementing current renovations and finally installing furnishings to present our clients with their own “Wow!” moment.  We are forever grateful for our clients who are themselves, our inspiration. Add in working with the other members of our team and you get a power cell.  We all feed off each other’s enthusiasm.   Motivations grows even more.   Sometimes we get a tad overstimulated!

Practice Makes Perfect

KITCHENS AND THE ART OF COOKERY

The definition of cookery is the practice or skill of preparing and cooking food. It’s a British word and one I thought meant the actual place of the events.  Something that could be used as a sub for our word “kitchen”.  However, it’s a verb not a noun. Cookery certainly sounds more continental than cooking, and conjures up visions of kitchens a tad more unconventional than ones in the U.S.  Wouldn’t you love to practice cookery in any of these simply savvy kitchens?

The Best Way To Make Good Travel Memories

Just like almost everyone else, Mr. LBD has missed traveling and was ready to go just about anywhere. Like many others, unfortunately, we experienced long delays for airline travel and less than stellar hotel accommodations. Add all this to the stress of the hospitality industry staff and it’s just not the kind of travel memories we want to have!
